Mayweather vs. Ortiz: The parallelism of Victor Ortiz and Manny Pacquiao !

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Victor Ortiz Final Press Conference!

Victor Ortiz and Manny Pacquiao are in some ways alike, in their experiences outside and inside the ring. As fighters, both are southpaws. Both produce explosive punching power with their hands. Both are current welterweight champions and both are exciting to watch in the ring.

Outside of the ring, both men are product of a not so easy life. Both came from a family devastated by abandonment and separation. Their fathers left them at a young age, Pacquiao and Ortiz both 12 at that time. Ortiz though, suffered the abandonment early when his mother left them at the care of their father five years earlier. Both became men at a tender age because of the circumstances that they face in their young life. Pacquiao left his home of General Santos City when he was 14 and sailed away 600 miles to the capital city of Manila in search of a job, any job to help support his mother and five other siblings. Pacquiao sold doughnuts and worked construction to earn money. Ortiz at 12 would carry a hoe and work the cornfields of Kansas to earn his living. He even admitted that he dealt drugs in the streets of his home city of Garden City, Kansas as a teenager. Ortiz and Pacquiao grew and hustled in their own "streets of life" thousands of miles apart in the early years of their life.

Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Victor Ortiz brings thunder and lightning to Las Vegas!

“What’s the latest on my boy ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz?” inquired Big Steve during our morning Java at Starbucks on Western Ave.” “Is he in Las Vegas yet?”

“Vicious” Victor Ortiz has thunder in his fists when he comes to the ring. As if by request, Mother nature greeted WBC Welterweight Champion with thunder and lightning when he arrived on the private Gulfstream jet to Las Vegas Monday night. Is this a sign of things to come when he defends his title against one of the best pound for pound fighters of our era, Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Saturday night?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. promised to meet yound Victor Ortiz in the center of the ring and to fight him. If he is true to his words could the lightning strike twice in one week in Las Vegas? The answer to that question will be revealed on September 17th when Victor Ortiz and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have a scheduled date with destiny at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. HBO Pay Per View will televise the event live.

Supremely confident champion, Victor Ortiz seemed tired of speaking about this fight when I last talked to him on Sunday in Los Angeles. He is ready to go to work.” I’ll beat him and then I’ll beat him again,” said Ortiz when I asked him if there was a rematch clause in his contract.

Victor Ortiz road to redemption!

It has been said that Victor Ortiz is just a preparation opponent of Floyd Mayweather Jr. as he will have the most awaited fight against the best in the world and the current pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao early next year. But many thoughts that this is not a walk in the park for Floyd Mayweather Jr. as he will be facing the next big thing in boxing which is Victor ‘Vicious’ Ortiz.

Victor Ortiz is not an easy nut to crack and it would be difficult for Floyd Jr. to make a statement early in the fight. Victor Ortiz will be the aggressive fighter and will never back down to chase Mayweather wherever he put himself to safety land. Victor Ortiz known for his aggressiveness and it is his lethal weapon to make an early statement early and it is his bread and butter in the fight. It could be in his advantage or it could be on his disadvantage. This has been proven and tested when he suffered 2 losses of his career, he fought hard but sometimes it turns out to be his failure because of weak defense when he attacks his furious assault.

Victor Ortiz is one of the exciting and courageous fighters in our time and he always gives the fight fans an explosive fight whoever he face in the ring. Vicious Ortiz is a determine fighter who always on the attack mode and it was not on his dictionary to back down. When he fought it is always a war and he unloaded some rapid fire to give his every opponent a second thought to fight him in a bell to bell fashion.

But against Floyd Mayweather Jr., it would be more entertaining and many believes that with this fight it would be Victor Ortiz acid test and he should beat Floyd Jr. to make himself as one of the great fighters in our time. Victor Ortiz is one hell of a fighter and will give Floyd Jr. something which he never been experienced before. Ortiz will certainly enjoy the underdog status against Floyd Jr. and this will give him the confidence to upset and give Mayweather Jr. a first loss of his career in brutal way.

It would be Victor ‘Vicious’ Ortiz defining moment on September 17, 2011 against the once pound-for-pound king in boxing Floyd Mayweather Jr. As for Floyd Jr. , this could be a step in preparation for a mega-superfight against the reigning, current and the only 8th division champion Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao of Philippines.

Who would you think come up in this fight and rule the show! Let’s get it on…..

Juan Manuel Marquez TKO Likar Ramos!

Pacquiao is next for Marquez!

It was evident, that Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico is on his way to take down Manny Pacquiao as what he did to Likar Ramos on November 12, 2011 in Las Vegas.

Juan Manuel Marquez cleared the way for his already scheduled trilogy mega showdown with pound-for-pound king and the 8th division champion Manny Pacquiao after scoring an explosive first round knockout against Likar Ramos in Cancun, Mexico. It has been proven that there are still left in the bag for Juan Manuel Marquez and he is ready for a big battle of his illustrious career against the man who he believes never beat him on their last 2 controversial showdowns. Marquez made quick work of his lesser skilled opponent and unknown fighter, landing a devastating right hand that put Ramos out cold for a couple of minutes after the fight.

Would this be the mark of beating Manny Pacquiao? That would still remain to be seen. It has been a great story of these two warriors Marquez will come smoking and set his mind to dethrone the most dangerous man in boxing and the most awarded boxer of all time Manny Pacquiao. But Manny Pacquiao on his part would simply prove to the world that Marquez is the man who can’t win whatever cause it would be.

As what written on his tshirt “Pacquiao is Next”, that would simplify that Juan Manuel Marquez is ready for a big night and he is ready to shock the whole world and cry out loud that he is indeed the true pound-for-pound king in boxing.

As for Manny Pacquiao, simply would remain as he is as everybody believes this could be the fight that will prove that he is truly the winner and the man who truly dominate on their previous fight. This time it will be Manny Pacquiao who will dominate and shut the mouth of Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez III. Lets get it on!

Pacquiao vs. Marquez III: There’s No Excuses!

Two controversial decisions!

Two fights that boxing fans would never forget and that two fights leaves certain issues as to who really dominated and won that fights. It was always a controversy but a very explosive fight for this two future hall of fame fighters who brought something exciting and explosiveness at the ring. They kept boxing fans feet on the ground and craving for more. This Pacquiao vs. Marquez III would be the most anticipated fight in boxing today.

Manny Pacquiao rose from the ground who is now the boxing superstar who never been beaten by anybody for a long long time. When Pacquiao have a fight it is always a sold out and it is always been a record breaking PPV. Manny Pacquiao has nothing to prove on this light of his career as he conquers a remarkable feat as the only fighter who won 8th title in 8th different divisions. As what the boxing experts said, Pacquiao has nothing to prove her if there is , only Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best fighter in the land to face Manny Pacquiao retires.

Manny Pacquiao and Team Pacquiao has something in mind, that facing Juan Manuel Marquez is very much special and explosive compared to Mayweather Jr. who continue to elude in fighting the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Juan Manuel Marquez on the other hand, believes that before retiring he has to settle with Manny Pacquiao. He believes that he was robbed from two previous occasions and he want to prove to the world that he is the only man who can beat Manny Pacquiao. Juan Manuel Marquez will have his full force on fighting Pacquiao as he will attempt to stop the dominance of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao-Marquez Trilogy would be a bang and the anticipation is now on track. Definitely, this could be a record breaking and the most explosive fight of the year….

Mayweather On Comeback Trail!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his comeback this week with predictable bombast, bellowing that his fight against WBC Welterweight Champion Victor Ortiz would be “the biggest international boxing event of 2011”.
