Mayweather laughs off Ortiz threat during HBO “Face Off”

Undefeated, five-division boxing World Champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather was all smiles, while WBC Welterweight champion ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz exuded nervous energy as he dug deep in his bag of verses, when both protagonists faced off in front of HBO’s Max Kellermen to promote their September 17 clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There’s no confusing who the seasoned vet is next to the anxious rookie in front of the cameras, as Mayweather mocked and patronized Ortiz throughout the 12-minute feature, sending a message that he isn’t the least bit concerned with the young champion in front of him. At one point, Mayweather even interrupted Kellerman’s questioning to point out his fashion sense in naming the brand of shoes he was wearing.

Pacquiao – Marquez Trilogy HBO or ShowTime decision is imminent!

Top Rank Boss Bob Arum announced earlier this week that he has received the formal bid from ShowTime to air the November 12^th Pacquiao vs. Marquez III pay per view fight.

After receiving ShowTime’s bid along with HBO’s, an announcement of which network will air the fight is expected from Arum in the next few days, He told the Ring:

“We received ShowTime’s offer today,”

“We will review it and analyze it and make a decision probably within next week .”

Despite personal preferences from many fans, there is currently no favorite as to which will land the event although the recent shake up at HBO could well play a part in Arum’s decision.

It has been proven that there are still left in the bag for Juan Manuel Marquez and he is ready for a big battle of his illustrious career against the man who he believes never beat him on their last 2 controversial showdowns. Marquez made quick work of his lesser skilled opponent and unknown fighter, landing a devastating right hand that put Ramos out cold for a couple of minutes after the fight.

Would this be the mark of beating Manny Pacquiao? That would still remain to be seen.
