Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Winner will face Manny Pacquiao?

Floyd Mayweather Jr., the undefeated former champion will be in full force when he face Victor ‘Vicious’ Ortiz on their fight on September 17, 2011 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This could be one of the best fights for 2011 and considered to be an eliminator as the winner of this fight will face Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao who will be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the 3rd time this November.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 KO’s) last fight was a unanimous decision over Shane Mosley on May 1, 2010, who coincidentally Manny Pacquiao beat Mosley convincingly compared to Floyd who is not that impressive.

Victor ‘Vicious’ Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KO’s) has a 6 bout win streak, more importantly he defeated the bright and upcoming prospect Andre Bert in a more dramatic and fashion way to claim the WBC crown in a fight many consider the year’s best. It was a hell of a fight as both fighters expected to launch its lethal power to each other and it was Ortiz who widely considered as the underdog of that fight but he prove all doubters wrong by knocking out Andre Berto.

It was indeed a very big surprised when Floyd Mayweather Jr. come out from retirement and announced that he will challenge Victor Ortiz for a lightweight belt. This could be his workout and if he wins, he will consider the fight against Manny Pacquiao. It has been over the years that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is avoiding Pacquiao with too many excuses.

But would Victor Ortiz allow Mayweather to realize his plans? Ortiz known for his work ethic and lethal power in both hands is not a push over and definitely, he is not here for nothing. He is a champion and he wants’ to showcase that via beating Floyd Mayweather Jr. convincingly and have the opportunity to face Manny Pacquiao instead Floyd Mayweather Jr. will do.

Indeed, this fight could be more exciting and entertaining if both fighters will live to its reputation and showcase their real skills in the boxing ring. It is expected, that Victor Ortiz wants’ to prove to Floyd that he is not a kid anymore and he has high respect on the former champion but he means business here and he wants’ Manny Pacquiao after their fight.

One thing for sure, millions of fans around the world will witness how Floyd Mayweather Jr. will perform and how he will match up pretty well with Victor Ortiz. Because this young guy and a warrior will definitely give Floyd a hard time to make his show on fight night…. Victor Ortiz is bound to shock the world and stop Floyd Mayweather Jr. dream on facing Manny Pacquiao because that would be his prayers not fighting on Pacquiao.

Would it be Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao? Or Victor Ortiz vs. Manny Pacquiao in the making?

Mayweather laughs off Ortiz threat during HBO “Face Off”

Undefeated, five-division boxing World Champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather was all smiles, while WBC Welterweight champion ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz exuded nervous energy as he dug deep in his bag of verses, when both protagonists faced off in front of HBO’s Max Kellermen to promote their September 17 clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There’s no confusing who the seasoned vet is next to the anxious rookie in front of the cameras, as Mayweather mocked and patronized Ortiz throughout the 12-minute feature, sending a message that he isn’t the least bit concerned with the young champion in front of him. At one point, Mayweather even interrupted Kellerman’s questioning to point out his fashion sense in naming the brand of shoes he was wearing.

Juan Manuel Marquez TKO Likar Ramos!

Pacquiao is next for Marquez!

It was evident, that Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico is on his way to take down Manny Pacquiao as what he did to Likar Ramos on November 12, 2011 in Las Vegas.

Juan Manuel Marquez cleared the way for his already scheduled trilogy mega showdown with pound-for-pound king and the 8th division champion Manny Pacquiao after scoring an explosive first round knockout against Likar Ramos in Cancun, Mexico. It has been proven that there are still left in the bag for Juan Manuel Marquez and he is ready for a big battle of his illustrious career against the man who he believes never beat him on their last 2 controversial showdowns. Marquez made quick work of his lesser skilled opponent and unknown fighter, landing a devastating right hand that put Ramos out cold for a couple of minutes after the fight.

Would this be the mark of beating Manny Pacquiao? That would still remain to be seen. It has been a great story of these two warriors Marquez will come smoking and set his mind to dethrone the most dangerous man in boxing and the most awarded boxer of all time Manny Pacquiao. But Manny Pacquiao on his part would simply prove to the world that Marquez is the man who can’t win whatever cause it would be.

As what written on his tshirt “Pacquiao is Next”, that would simplify that Juan Manuel Marquez is ready for a big night and he is ready to shock the whole world and cry out loud that he is indeed the true pound-for-pound king in boxing.

As for Manny Pacquiao, simply would remain as he is as everybody believes this could be the fight that will prove that he is truly the winner and the man who truly dominate on their previous fight. This time it will be Manny Pacquiao who will dominate and shut the mouth of Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez III. Lets get it on!

Pacquiao vs. Marquez III: There’s No Excuses!

Two controversial decisions!

Two fights that boxing fans would never forget and that two fights leaves certain issues as to who really dominated and won that fights. It was always a controversy but a very explosive fight for this two future hall of fame fighters who brought something exciting and explosiveness at the ring. They kept boxing fans feet on the ground and craving for more. This Pacquiao vs. Marquez III would be the most anticipated fight in boxing today.

Manny Pacquiao rose from the ground who is now the boxing superstar who never been beaten by anybody for a long long time. When Pacquiao have a fight it is always a sold out and it is always been a record breaking PPV. Manny Pacquiao has nothing to prove on this light of his career as he conquers a remarkable feat as the only fighter who won 8th title in 8th different divisions. As what the boxing experts said, Pacquiao has nothing to prove her if there is , only Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best fighter in the land to face Manny Pacquiao retires.

Manny Pacquiao and Team Pacquiao has something in mind, that facing Juan Manuel Marquez is very much special and explosive compared to Mayweather Jr. who continue to elude in fighting the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Juan Manuel Marquez on the other hand, believes that before retiring he has to settle with Manny Pacquiao. He believes that he was robbed from two previous occasions and he want to prove to the world that he is the only man who can beat Manny Pacquiao. Juan Manuel Marquez will have his full force on fighting Pacquiao as he will attempt to stop the dominance of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao-Marquez Trilogy would be a bang and the anticipation is now on track. Definitely, this could be a record breaking and the most explosive fight of the year….
